Green Tea and Carb Metabolism
It appears that green tea may improve carbohydrate metabolism.
A new study examining the blood chemistry of Green Tea in rats indicates that green tea improves the enzyme activity required for carbohydrate metabolism.
This suggests that Green Tea may be beneficial with respect to insulin resistance and glucose metabolism.
The net result of improved carb metabolism means less fat storage from ingesting carbohydrates.
In addition the same study suggests that Green Tea improves anti-oxidant defense.
In a previous article, we reported on the optimal dose for Green Tea.
Rule of Thumb: Green tea before carbs is won’t hurt.
