Has anyone tried taking acia berry pills to help with your weight loss? I just saw an ad about this weight loss pill and was very interested to see if it works. It states that it supports healthy weight loss. So someone being on weight watchers using this should have success.
I am interested in feedback on this if you have any. |

I have not tried it, but I have heard many good things about acai berry and juice, they are rich in antioxidants, which is good for general health (not sure about weight loss though). I personally would not go for pills because they do not get absorbed very well by our body. |

Acai Berry for weight loss is both really bad science and really slimy marketing.
The family of ideas this falls under is the idea that inflammation impairs how your body uses blood sugar, and since Acai Berry is relatively high in anti-oxidants, that Acai Berry will promote weight loss by reducing inflammation. Sound great? Consider the following
- There is ZERO research supporting Acai Berry for weight loss.
- The anti-oxidant value of Acai Berry is far exceeded many times over by numerous products, such as BodyGlo and many other serious superfood formulations.
In fact, you can beat the anti-oxidant value of Acai Berry many times over with regular old Vitamin C. Vitamin C is an ultra powerful anti-oxidant and taken in doses of 3-5 grams at night is far more effective and a whole lot cheaper than Acai Berry.
The bodies most powerful anti-oxidants are enzymes - glutathione peroxidase, catalase and superoxide dimustase. I suggest you look at our section on Advanced Weight Loss. We cover inflammation and weight loss in great detail there.
Save your money when it comes to Acai Berry. Products hawking it for weight control are simply a joke. |

Those are great points. I have not done much research in to Acai Berries, but I have noticed they are getting a lot of play in the media. Any time something rises from obscurity to the next "it" thing, it is usually a result of good marketing. Glad someone is looking at the hard science, so thanks Joel. |

I'd heard a lot about them, but I hadn't done any research. Thanks for the information. |

I know that antioxidants alone will not bring significant weight loss. They are very good for the body, but they are not something that targets extra weight. |

Joel~ thank you for all your information on the acia berry supplement. I usually tend to believe these things I see on tv, try them and then become disappointed. |

It just goes to show that you can't believe everything you see, read, or hear. |

Is the calorie content in Aca1 high? If so, can this undermine any weight loss goals you might have? |

thank's for that joel, so acai berry is just a waste of money i guess, just stick to those vit,.c foods and supplements if you would say its more effective than acai berry. |
