I like sunflower seeds too! Other than its a healthy food, its very challenging to eat especially with the husks on do you also like them with the husks or you prefer the ready to eat kernels only? |

I used to eat sun flower seeds as a low calorie snack. They are kind of bland but they do have value as far as keeping weight down |

I also happen to love sunflower seeds! For weight loss, I would advise to try to find them unsalted. This can be hard to do since most places insist on selling the salted version, but salt contributes to weight gain. |

bubble, thanks for starting this link. I also love sunflower seeds and would never have thought about them as a snack for weight loss. |

bubble. sunflower seeds are low in cholesterol and sodium and are rich in fiber, minerals (especially magnesium) and vitamin E. In addition, sunflower seeds are calorie dense and have a very low glycemic index which make them a perfect food for weight loss! |

My new favorite snack food is sunflower seeds, but I know very little about them. I have always assumed that seeds are good for you, but to be honest, I am not really sure about any nutritional content a handful of these may have.
Does anyone else have any idea? |
