Now that medicine has added years to our expected lifespan, new problems that can be directly attributable to aging, are cropping up.
We are fortunate when we can get a replacement for a knee or hip, but other joints, like those in the hands and feet, or that long series of joints called the spinal column still suffer damage and being to break down once we are past our original, intended lifespan.
What modifications do you make in your exercise routines, to minimize the effects of repeated movements on your spinal column, hands, and feet?
Have you researched any supplements that protect these joints? |

I have changed my exercise programs so I have much less stress on my body as I have aged. I noticed i do not bounce back as good as I once did. |

I've noticed that I don't heal quite as quickly as I once did. I haven't changed my routine too much since it's still working well. |

Many people who are worried about these age/exercise problems find that regular swimming gives them a great low impact workout. |

I hadn't even thought of swimming. It is a great workout. Thanks for reminding me. |

I know plenty of people who take glucosamine & chondroitin supplements for joint health with good results. As for recovery from workouts, there are plenty of supplements you can take. I like personally glutamine.
As we age, recovering from workouts becomes just as important as the workouts themselves. |
