I personally think that "ideal time" varies from person to person. Some will tell you that morning is the best, because if you get your body all worked up in the evening before going to bed you will not be able to sleep. But for me, mornings just do not work, so I prefer afternoon or evenings. |

I´m sure that there is no ideal time for the exercises. But I think that the most suitable time for the organism is 2 hours after the lunch. |

Early morning is the best time to exercise. I used to wake up 6:30 am and jog in the park for 30 minutes. During weekend, I attend aerobic class at 3 pm. My swimming is always nightime. |

This surely depends on the person. Some do better in the morning. I'm a lunchtime or afternoon person. Whenever you can do it and keep with it is the perfect time. |

Patti's right that it depends on the person. I usually don't do well in the morning, so the best time for me would be in the afternoon or evening. |

Metabolically, you will burn more fat if you exercise in the morning on an empty stomach. After all, if you don't have food in your stomach for fuel, you have to get fuel from somewhere, so your body looks to fat stores. But, as has been pointed out, if you can't get out of bed with any regularity, then it doesn't matter. Consistency is key, so working out whenever meets the demands of your schedule is the ideal time to exercise.
Look at it this way, if the morning is the "ideal" time to exercise, but you only do it once or twice a week, then it really isn't "ideal" if you are able to commit to three or four times a week at another more convenient time. Frequency and consistency in diet and exercise will always deliver the best results. |

it doesn't matter what time you exercise, what matters is that you do exercise. so lets get out there and burn some calories |

i agree with tnino45 whatever time suits your schedule and body rhythm usually works best. I agree that doing cardio work on an empty stomach has be shown to produce the best fat loss results! |

it doesn't matter when you do them, as long as you do them right. whenever your schedule allows it is fine. |

Late in the morning and late at night can both be excellent means of burning calories. One eliminates stored calories and the other will eliminate what is already in your stomach when you go to bed. |
